Media kit

For every page of the site there are two images and a ready-made text: a square card for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Threads, a vertical one for Stories, Reels, TikTok and WhatsApp status. The text comes in Italian and English, with hashtags and a description for those who cannot see the image.

The images come from the photographs in the catalogue, with the credit printed on them. They can be used freely to talk about the San Siro area, citing the page. Anyone who just wants to share the link needs to do nothing: the preview forms by itself.

How to use it

1Choose the page in the list and open its card.
2Download the square or the vertical card. On a phone: press and hold the image and save.
3Copy the text, in Italian or English, and paste it into the post. The link to the page is already included.
4Leave the credit printed on the image: it is the condition of the photograph's licence.

Stories

Series for Instagram and Facebook stories

Vertical 1080×1920 cards, in Italian and English, one per story. The facts come from the site’s pages, already verified on two sources; the link leads to the page they come from. The bottom is left free for the sticker: each card comes with a suggested quiz or poll.

The rules

What you can do with these images

Share

The cards can be published on any channel to talk about the San Siro area and link to the page. The printed credit stays.

The photographs

Every background photograph has its own record in the catalogue, with author, provenance and licence. The licence conditions also apply to the card.

No commercial use of the site

The site does not sell, carries no advertising and has no partners. The cards are not used to promote products, services or businesses.

The mark

The name and the SS mark stay as they are: they are not altered and not paired with other brands.

Sources for this page

What you have read rests on

Every fact is checked against at least two independent sources and, where one exists, the official source.

Two independent sources

Dates, measurements and names go through at least two sources that do not copy each other. Where it exists, we go to the original: the deed, the archive, the body that owns it. What appears in only one place waits.

One version only

If two sources disagree, the original document prevails. If even that is not enough, only the part they agree on is written: the year, for example, instead of the day.

Updated every day

The press review and calendar are updated every day. Everything else changes when a new document turns up, and then it changes everywhere at once.

From the community

Many memories, family photographs and tips come from people who live here, writing to the Facebook page. They are published only if the sender agrees. How to take part: Community.

Everything traceable

Sources are listed above and on the page Sources, with archive, shelfmark and terms of use.

No interpretation passed off as fact

An approximate figure stays approximate, a project stays a project until construction starts, and whatever does not add up stays out. The criteria are in Method.
